RELOAD SERIES

RELOAD

Bring into renewed existence;

“Huge-Reload” gives garments a new life and meaning by using dead-stock productions. Facing the fashion industry’s waste, “Reload” tries to prove that luxury streetwear can be sustainable and can have a powerful voice in the eco-conscious process. The garments are carefully selected, washed, and treated at our workshop in Italy. Before sending them to our manufacturing partners, we redesign the structure, and we elaborate a new concept through graphics and artisanal treatments.

BEHIND THE IDEA

The Reload Series idea was born after years around different factories, here we had the chance to see with our eyes how much excess of everything is present in the fashion industry. Most of the time, factories are forced to overproduce items to reach a minimum quantity for production: this causes an unnecessary amount of garments which often remain unsold, unused. Instead of producing new collections, we focused on the idea of upcycling the materials we had at our disposal. We asked our partners to find out all the dead-stock clothing they had in wares including our previous collections.

HOW IT WORKS

1.

Factories produce a large number of the same items to reach the minimum of production. Lots of these garments are not needed.

2.

Garments are shipped worldwide, but some are defective, not paid from the brands, or unsold.

3

A significant number of high-quality garments remain at facilities generating a huge impact on the environment and a waste of materials, sources, etc.

4

"Huge" team finds out these dead-stock productions and brings them to its workshop.

5

"Huge" team checks the garments to localize possible defects and start engineering how to fix them through manipulations, treatments, and new prints.

6

After elaborating on a new concept, garments start to be "reloaded",  thanks to industry experts, items are washed and treated.

7

After the washing procedure, the "Huge" team takes items into laboratories, they fix or add possible flaws. Here garments are re-printed if needed.

8

Here is a new garment by "Huge" Reload.
